Just got a new/used Castellano Fango that has XTR 9 hubs on it and i was wondering if i can put the Shimano Saint Disc Brake sytem on the bike, it also has an 80mm SID SL shock. Thanks much
Yes. If you have centerlock XTR hubs, you can use the Saint brakes, but you can't use the Saint rotors. You'll have to use the regular centerlock rotors or a centerlock adapter with 6 bolt IS rotors. The SID is already a noodle of a fork, if you put a big rotor on it, it will fold itself over. Also, if you have an XC frame, it may not clear a rotor larger than a 160mm.
