Ok Homers,
We're all like family so no givin' me chit. I ride about 4-6 days a week. I have tried about 6 or 7 saddles. I have changed my angle and forward back position and saddle height. Nothing really seems to help. My buns have no padding, all the fat is gone. I wear good shorts or at least decent shorts (all with chamois). I have been to the Dr., you know Dr. Fat Finger, and my prostrate is ok. Everything down there is functional but the sensation is not what it used to be. I am currently riding a Specialized BG Format 130. Some of the past saddles were SDG,I beam and rails, Selle, heck, can't remember them all. Anybody got the right seat or any other good suggestions?
One more clue, when I sit on unpadded chairs or wooden benches my bum gets sore quick. What's up? And don't you dare tell me to ride less!!!!:nono:

I have a similar problem. I got no butt!

I try to focus on engaging the Glutes on my rides. It usually requires pushing big gears out of the saddle. Hope this helps:thumbsup:

If you don't mind the extra weight or $$$ >http://www.brookssaddles.com/en/Shop_CategoryPage.aspx?cat=saddles+-+road+&+mtb  :yesnod: ....Once broken in they are quite comfy
Singlespeed, big gear, problem solved. Or trials.
Terry Ti Fly or Wtb rocket V
+1 on the WTB saddles. I've tried many saddles over the years as well and have found them to fit me the best.
I've been on WTB's for years, but opted for something different on my Highline. Although they have been the best fit for me, they tend to start making a veracious squeak after a year or less. I opted to go with a Syncros saddle and have been pleasantly surprised. The WTB is currently on the RFX, but I'm thinking that I may get the AM version for x-mas. FWIW I'm coming off of a WTB Purve V race with Ti rails. The Syncros saddles are a bit heavier, but that's the trade off of having a bit more padding for your bum.

+2 on WTB - the Rocket V if you aren't too big boned and the Lazer V if you like wider saddles with a little more padding. The Ti railed versions are still pretty light - 220 grams or so I think.
I'm 5'6" and 137 lb. The arsometer at Specialozed said the 130 was right size. Any sizes in the WTB's?
Selle Italia Flite Gel Flow. For my bony ass it works, but saddles are so personal that it is practiacally useless to give advice. I run these on all my bikes so the seat always feels the same.

WTB Rocket V

I was using lighter saddles (including WTB) on my suspension bikes with the Rocket on my SS but I was feeling some of the same stuff you were so I started swapping the Rocket onto my 5&6" bikes (same post size) and felt 100% better.
Sorry Cutthroat, that flight gel might work for your bony Arse but my um... not so bony arse hated the one I own. I imagine the answer to this question will be as varied as our various contact patches.

What he wrote.
And another great wider saddle is the PureV.
To me it's comfort than the LaserV but the LaserV is tops for getting you butt behind it if the seatpost is not lowered.
Another  for the rocket V. I went thru a few saddles and this was the one for me.
If the problem is numbness in your privates, find a saddle with a channel that distributes the pressure to your sits bones (ischial tuberosity) and away from the area between them. If the soreness from sitting on a bench is on your sits bones you may be developing some inflammation around your ischial tuberosities. Make sure you are strengthening and stretching your hamstrings and hip muscles.
+1 for WTB Rocket V

Alternatively, I am trying out a Charge Spoon saddle on the DW Spot and so far so good.

I had the same problem and switched to the Koobi Xenon. No problems anymore.

Seems there's quite a variety of "noseless saddles" out there!
