X-post from the Specialized forum ( they don't seem to answer 29er questions)
Anyone know the weight of the carbon crown Reba that comes with the S-works frames ( Epic or Stumpjumper)?

You are in luck. I work at home, I am easily distracted from work, and I have yet to build up my Spez 29er.

I weighed the Reba Fork with the uncut carbon steerer tube - and the installed headset race in place and it came out to be 3.57-lbs on my digital scale.

Hope it helps....
I'm glad you are easily distracted.....now get back to work!
Oh...and thank you very much!

That is light...about the same as my DT Swiss fork
Cool...

Mine weighed exactly the same as Timo's at 1620 grams or 3.57 lbs. I'm glad to see some slight consistency (that is if you can consider 2 in row consistent). Mine really has worked nicely.

speaking of dt swiss, it looks as though they don't offer a 29er fork at all this year, whats up with that...........I love mine, and was hoping to get one with a tapered steerer eventually.........

I didn't know that...but if I were to guess, they're probably getting out of the fork biz. There were plenty of 29 forks left at distributors a month or so ago.
I'm looking at building a carbon Specialized hard tail. The size frame I want is b/o'd...so I thought about the complete carbon expert and putting a DT on it.
Add in the allure of XX....it's tough being an old guy with too much time and money on his hands:madman:

Oh...I hear you. I have a Lenz Lev that I'll be racing ...and riding most of the time. But there are a few races where a 20 lb hard tail would be nice
