?'s on Asta = Stem

Say if you were broke as a joke and all you got in the mighty ASTA, but been craving more DH then XC riding. What is the absolute smallest stem you would put on an ASTA?

Especially if you want to do more DH crud on it.

(Oh yea…. My saddle is pulled far back as possible and my stem right now is 90mm)..

Thanks,

(not into bling) if people want to look at my stem, they really missing the point of mtb'in
You can put the shortest stem you want on an Asta
but the frame geometry is still that of a XC bike

Gots ta agree, the Asta is a bike that loves to be spanked but it sounds like it's time for a second bike. :yesnod:

80mm is a awesome do all length.
wrong area.
A short stem may not change the bike itself, but being further behind the front wheel instead of over it can give you a lot more confidence to attack the downhills. Thats gotta count for something in the meantime.

...or just save those pennies for the new bike :)
A two bike stable is the way to go..More if ya got the coin

Poh, you need another bike. ;)
