Hi, I have just purchased a secondhand Chris King ss hub and plan to lace it up with a DT swiss rim, now when I lace it up is it best if I do it the same as when it was built up last time, or will this not make any difference at all. Look forward to some helpful advice.

cheers

I've done 'em both ways and the sky didn't fall (or the hub crack) either way. It's a non-issue.

Agreed, a non-issue. I see some wheelbuilding texts say the hubs should relaced the same way and some say they should never be relaced the same way.

Personally I have never worried about it and just built the wheels however I wanted to. Never had a problem.
