Do you think at 2.3 nevegal would fit in back? I would like to put 2.3 front and back on my rush.
i think it would be to close for my taste. if your rim was true, tire was mounted perfect then it may work, but it will leave no room for minor tweaks.
its to wet to ride trails so no report yet, hopefully be the end of the weekend. i have ridden around the neighborhood and feels good. it dose feel taller which is a good thing, i clip my peddles on the trail allot, a taller BB should help.
nice! it solves the low bottom bracket issue i've had with the rush, too. i love that bike!
Daaaammmnnn!!!! that is nice.

Very sweet looking bike and the tires look to be right for the job...only now Pacenti has a softer compound Neo-moto for the front

I will be putting on a rear 650b soon next year on my Carbono Rushaholic and the will probably choose the same rear tire as you...it looks tight enough but not too tight.
I will need to raise the front end to compensate for the higher rear end. The only way to go would be to get a riser bar since I already have the highest stem (I have an XL). I will need to find a riser with a 5 degree bend or less..cannot stand curved bars.

Again, very nice and thanks for posting and look forward to your ride review....hurry up, the weekends over already ;)
Well, first impressions are great. I had to drive an hour to find dry trails, but its was worth it! The trails I Road were flat, fast pine forrest. Great place to go in Texas (double lake) all big ring.
The bike dose feel taller, but not like sitting on a 29r. the only real 29r i have riding is a Pivot - sweeet bike just not for me. i just don't like how high my center of gravity is on a 29r. the 650 dose not feel that high. the only place you really feel the height is coming to a stop and not getting off the seat, if you just lean and steep over its a "little" longer drop.
The ride is very good! You do get the "roll over" anything feeling, its not as pronounced as a 29r but its there. There was lots of roots on the trails and the big tires just roller over them. I raced this trail on 26" wheels and it's defiantly a ruffer ride on the 26"
I think the best new feeling is cornering! i feel way more confident! i can carry more speed in the corners. In fact i had two near wipe outs_ i am sure the bigger tires helped me save it in both situations. In some S-turns i was going a little to fast and drifted left then right. I am sure if i had the 26"ers i would have washed out.
Also the BB being a little taller is a big improvement for this bike! i did not hit my peddles as much.
The only thing i am not sure of is the front 2.3, maybe a little to big for Texas riding. I am going to Austin Wednesday, very rocky with ledges, the big front may be a bonus for rocks.
I road the tires tubeless at 30 psi - no problems. I would like to run less psi and will be experimenting with psi for a while, until I find what I like, for now no complaints.

Paging Dr. Pacenti...paging Dr. Pacenti...

Any one know anything on when the SC Neos will be available?
Nice. I think this is where I'm headed with my Carbon Rush too. Good comparo too, thanks!
Would you need the older Rush swingarm to do this, or could it be done with the standard '09 swingarm?
If your swingarm has the cross brace, its to close. Some have simply removed the brace?? I was lucky enough to get a 07 swingarm without the brace and swap them. I then sold my original swingarm to recoup some money. I fell better having a swingarm thats not altered. There is not a "real" weight difference between the two, i was told 100 g. When everything was apart i put both on a scale (hanging style) and it didn't show a difference.
If the nevegal 2.3 doesn't fit well in the back I may just stick with my 26x2.35 back there since it isn't much smaller in diameter than the 650bx2.1.

However, I don't want to make the HTA any slacker so I'm gonna need to figure out a longer rear shock as discussed by yogiprophet near the bottom of this thread.

Have you tried fitting anything wider than 2.35 in the back?
I mean what's the widest 26" tire that could fit on a Rush. (lateral clearance would be the issue since you can easily remove the brace tabs)
