okay, i have to admit that "official fork" thread is a bit hard to follow, since not everyone knows/indicates model year...

can someone answer me this-- is there a rockshox product in the 90-130:ish (travel adjust) range that comes w/ a maxle-lite that will fit a 650b wheel/nevegal?

i *think* either the '09 revelation or reba may but there appears to be contradictory statements...

anyone?

thanks in advance.

I don't have one, but I believe that a 09 Revelation w/ Maxle will fit.

I do know for sure that the q/r version won't work.
29" Reba

The 29er Reba comes in 120mm u-turn (adjusts down to 90mm, I think?) with the Maxle. It'll fit any 650b you want with lots of room to spare.

Only the 2009 26er version of the RS Revelation will fit. No other year. That particular year uses the Pike lowers which leads one to beleive that will work too. All the Fox forks fit and work well. I run a Talas 32.
hmmmm... can you swap Pike lowers on any same-year Revelation?
yes the only Rev that will fit is the 09 with Maxle. all Pikes should fit. both are available with travel adjust u-turn, i think from 100-140.
Basically the rule of thumb would be any fork (or frame for that matter) with clearance for a 26 x 2.6, will fit a 27.5 x 2.35 also (the outside diameters work out the same).
There is a lot of confusing info about Revelation forks. I read just a few weeks ago, on another thread, that 2010 Revelations will not work with 650b. This was after I had already ordered one!

Well, I've just finished my third ride with a Stan's 355 rim on a Hope Pro11 hub, running a Neomoto 2.3 tire. There is at least 3mm clearance below the arch, and more on the sides.

This is a great fork (and tire). I Can't believe I almost canceled the order!
No, I don't, but there were some toward the end of the 650b fork thread in the 650b forum. (near the end of the forth page I think)
I'm still happy with mine, and glad I was not scared off. It is a great fork. I've had 4 Fox forks - still have 2 on other bikes - but the Revelation, in my opinion, is better in several ways.

Here are the pictures I posted on the Fork thread. It's a 2010 Rev with the 2.3 Neo. Too close for my liking. I went with a 2008 Fox Float with travel reduced to 120mm. Not to hijack the thread but here are my bits ready to be built.

Yes, I got a semi-custom frame to take the 650B wheel. The frame is designed for a fork with A2C 485-495 mm with a 69.5 deg HA. I call it Project-X650B but it came with the El Chiquillo sticker since it's based on that frame. Ole' :D
The lower pic (from the back) gives an accurate perspective of the clearance. The back of the arch is basically flat, but slightly angled forward so it kind of acts like the edge of an ice scraper on a windshield. It peels mud, rocks, and twigs up and away from the tire.

I've ridden in mud that jammed up my rear wheel at the chain stay, but never had a problem at the fork arch.

I ordered a 2009 Rev with maxle and had to return it b/c the steerer tube was not flush with the crown and would have easily hit the tire at full compression. Plenty of room on the arch though. It was an ebay deal, got all my $ back, but just be informed of this possible issue.

Worked out well, b/c I have a 06 Pike, I ordered a maxle lite for it and now its w/i 57g of the new Revelation. THAT was surprising. But perhaps the new Rev has better performance........
