Pardon my ignorance but I just took my RP23 off and wondered what the white plastic plug looking thing is just above the lower reducers..and what it's purpose might be...see pic below.. TIA

Someone should correct me, but that's in there to keep people from removing the allen screw, which gives access to the oil part of the shock, and is a bugger to bleed without the right setup.

This is a hole to nitrogen chamber. It's under pressure and not servicable at home for most of us mortals, so it's sealed. In fact, it's not so dangerous to remove this plug if you're careful, just pointless. I did it to my old beatup van r. BTW, no oil inside.
