Hey bikers,

Need some help in choosing these set for my 2010 sworks stumpy FS. Current setup is the stock roval SL. I have a spare set crossmax SLR. Wondering which set is a better fit. Both weight about the same. I think the roval is a couple ounces less.

The SLR is currently setup as tubeless. And the roval is tube.

What's the pros and cons. I'm new to mtb. Thx!

They are similar in concept and even in construction, with the rivals being a bit lighter. I've had a set of SLR's for a new years prior to going 29" and they are great wheels provided you are prepared to do regular maintenance on the FWH. This is not difficult and would take about 10 minutes every 6 months or so. The Rovals have DT-swiss hubs which are probably stronger ratchets than the SLR's. On the other side the SLR's have very strong rims and spokes and I would expect, for a stumpy, that they would last longer than the Rovals with AM use.
