Rotor Compatability?

1179 Views 8 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  Dagonger
Looking to outfit some Center-lock hubs with Galfer Rotors, however the Galfer site says my Shimano SLX7120 are not compatible?
I then searched the site for "Shimano" and I'm only getting Brake Pads as compatible

Dunno, could be me or the website.

So will these 180mm & 203mm rotors fit my I9 Hydra CenterLock Hubs w/SLX7120 (4-Pot) Brakes?

Also, Is there any benefit going with XTR Rotors (provided I could even source them)?

If you pick any brake from their drop down list, every single one says:
"This part is not known to be compatible with your"

Thought so, but wanted to be sure.

Now the question is.....why?
My guess is they can't possibly test all brake models, or it's a CYA scenerio.
It is same with Sram Code RSC and I have those 203 and they are 100% bullet proof and compatible.
Only different is I have 6-bolt model and 2 mmm thickness.
I just mounted Galfer centerlock rotors to my Hydras replacing 203/180 Shimano Saint Rotors...no issues
