I have Nevegals on my bike right now & because I rode DH last season, the rear tire got beat up more than the front tire. Is rotating the tires (exchanging front & rear) good or does it have a huge adverse effect on performance?

Some people will say not to put the worn rear on the front as it may affect steering.

I do it though, so both tyres wear out at the same time - I hate mismatched tyres.

Here's what I do

I used to rotate but really you want your best rubber up front so you don't faceplant. I now put the front on the rear and put a new one on the front and love this setup. I always have great traction now front and back and it's like putting on a total new set when I do it this way so a new set I have on ice lasts twice al long.
