Sometimes you just need to take a break from work and go ride.
Went up the ridge above 8th street (what name of that trail?), crosses 8th street to Hulls parking lot. Up freeway, over and up Sidewinder to top then down trail 4,
that was interesting to say the least. Over and back down way I came.

I guess I'll head to Costco or IMT for the warm packs. They are $2 apeice, but Georges didn't have them. I don't have a Costco membership.

Oh Trails! Yeah, all was in good condition, frozen white. I tried to ride over a little ice section on way up Kestrel to Sidewinder and wheels slipped out very quickly.

yep, that ice was as clear as Lake Placid but thought I could just ride over it.
AVOID ice, folks, or you will go down. But you don't need some dumb Califorinan to tell YOU that.

I tried to take pics but my batteries went out.
This thing sucks thorugh regular AA batteries rather quickly.

Enjoy!

Are you talking about Chickadee? That's a pretty neat, albeit short, trail.

We (REI) have them, but sometimes our supply is spotty and the fact that our truck is stuck in Hermiston ain't helping matters. Other stores such as Benchmark, McU's, Garts, etc. should have them.

You should go with rechargeable batteries. My digicam goes through batteries quick and this cold weather certainly doesn't prolong their life. But all I do is just recharge them for a couple of hours and I'm good to go.
