Ok,
I have been experimenting with my 2003 judy tt. I put a firm coil spring and an aluminum spacer in what previously was the "dummy" side, making it more stiff.
I read somewhere that you could take out the plastic spacers that go with the elastomers near the bottom of the fork. I took them out, and the fork appears to get a little more travel in the driveway test. I wanted a little more travel, because the fork was only getting about 2 1/4 travel vs. the claimed 80 mm. Has anyone else taken out spacers? Does anyone know of possible drawbacks? Is it safe? I want a new fork, but this fork will have to do until next year.
Thanks
