Hello mtbr,

I have a 2017 Rockshox Revelation RL 29 with 150mm of travel. I just bought this fork on pinkbike. There is nothing wrong with the fork, I just need some clarification. The fork at it's current setting is not at 150mm, probably around 130ish. How do I change it to 150?

Changing the travel on a Rockshox Revelation requires a new air shaft.
Good news is they are usually under $30.

HTH
He included an extra air shaft. I measured it and it was 6.25", which is about 150mm. Will that be the correct shaft for 150mm travel?

I believe it was meant for a 29er bike. I think the 29er fork is 135mm.

Are you properly reading the gauge on the back of the stanchion? There are two marks, one for 27.5 and one for 29.

Probably why you have the extra air shaft I guess. I've never disassembled a fork. If you have, you're probably already on your way to increasing the travel. You can find exploded diagrams on SRAM technical pages.

If you aren't comfortable doing the disassembly and prepared to order parts as necessary, it's suggested to find a local shop familiar with Rock Shox and have them install the necessary components to extend the travel.

Hello,

I've got a Revelation 29 (don't know the year,but it's 35mm) RC Solo Air,130mm travel.
I want to try it at 140mm,and so far I've learned that I need to get a different air shaft.
Shopping for it online has been confusing, because kits for older (32mm) forks sometimes don't specify the year and I don't want to make a mistake.

Does anyone have a part number or a link to that specific part?

Thanks!
