I recently rebuilt my RT3 to fix an oil leak. I replaced every rubber bit in that beast, I used 7wt oil, set the IFP position per the chart with a caliper, and set the IFP pressure to 250 psi. However, now the rebound damping lever doesn't really change the shock response and the shock bottoms out in rebound over bigger bumps.

Do I have air in the system someplace or is there something different going on?

What does "bottoms out in rebound" mean? Rebound is when it extends so you'd normal say it tops out. Do you mean that there was very little rebound damping so you were getting kinda launched up by the shock extending?

Yes, topping out, I guess. I was getting a knocking when the shock went to full extension. I speculated that the shock wasn't damping in rebound, or wasn't damping enough, because of some bubble somewhere that didn't dislodge during my initial bleed. But that's just a guess.
