RockShox Domain vs. ZEB

Hi,

does anyone have any info on the differences between the new RS Domain and ZEB? They‘re both 38 mm chassis, they might as well have the same one and just different internals (like the Lyrik and the Yari). If that’s the case the Domain might be a good option for a coil conversion with an aftermarket damper, since it is quite a bit cheaper than the ZEB

Different aluminum and wall thicknesses. You can change the damper side to a charger, but the air side is specific to the Domain.

Coil conversion in a Domain is going to be a very heavy fork.

But if the chassis stiffness is similar to a ZEB, it will be awesome (and quite inexpensive).

Buy a Domain, find a 2.1 ZEB select+ damper on Pink Bike and mod the shim stacks, put a smashpot coil kit in it and have a truly DH worthy 180mm coil single crown that will destroy a Fox 38 for not much more than $1000. (y)
