I would like to use this fork without using the remote pop loc. Is there an option so i can adjust the movement from the fork crown, just like my trusty old SID?

Yeah.. you can buy models without poplock... no problem!!!

Can you buy a conversion kit, as mine is already poplocked? If so, where from, as the Roch Shox web site appears to make no mension of it?

Ah.. I see... yeah you just need the Motion Control damper that has no spring, you could also trade with somebody that wants poplock....

you can see the part number for the Motion Control damper without poploc.... you should be able to order it from your LBS or the "board deales" Larry @ MtnHighCyclery or Chad @Red Barn

One more thing, If you look at the Service Guide

They show that you can upgrade the normal damper to poplock, you just need to do the reverse of what is explained there...
