Hey all. I have Rock bros poggies, the ones with the zipper section on each. I am interested to know if anyone else has them with Sram cockpit....I find they put pressure on the down shift lever and unless I push up on the lever with my thumb after a down shift it creates some push on the lever and causes unintended skipping. I am wondering if I put them on wrong?

I have shimano, but I do notice they are a little tight around the shifter area but hasn't interfered with shifting (once I get my thumb on the shifter anyway). Speaking of the zipper, I find it kind of fiddly. Seems like it should start at the outside and zip towards the narrow opening near the stem, not vice versa.

I agree on the zipper. Didn't know if I was missing something as to the intended fitting.

I have some "generic" poggies with zippers/SRAM/Shimano cockpit and have the same issue, some careful positioning has helped, but still adds resistance and requires a finger bump to reset the shifter to the proper position. I was just looking for another option this morning. I do love the zippers, as I need to vent any time its over 20 degrees to keep my hands from overheating.

I have Rock Bros for my regular FS bike and agree that the zipper is a pain! Like trying to zip up my daughter's jacket when she was 5 years old! That bike has TRP and no shifting issues with the Rocks. I use Bar Mitts on my fat bike with Sram and no shifting issues there either. Mattwings those poggies you ordered look great! You gotta give us a review when you get them.

I used them for the first time Saturday. 2 hr ride, 20 degrees. First take, comfortable, warm and no shifting interference. Slightly more breathable than the neoprene alternative. They don’t hold their shape quite as well, so slipping your hands into them on the trail and getting them “pulled up” isn’t quite as slick as their neoprene counterparts. Overall I like them and for $24 they are worth every penny. The cell phone pocket actually worked ok. You could put a wallet or something else in the other side too. I wouldn’t bother to use the pockets if I was riding aggressively, but for certain situations, they could be useful.

Sounds great! More breathability is good. I wear my lightest gloves and open the zipper some and my hands still get sweaty! So I've learned to put my hands outside the Mitts on long climbs to cool off the hands even in 15F! That's a great price too.

They are better, but marginally. I will say that after taking my hands in and out a few times on the ride, the moisture retention isn't nearly as bad with the fabric/lined as the neoprene. Other reviews mentioned they are not waterproof if riding in the rain, but my goodness, if I used them above 32 degrees, I am sure my hands would physically melt from my body.

I have used these a couple more times since the initial review. A couple of other good points.

1. They are easier to remove and replace on a different bike than the neoprene zip up alternative.
2. The overall comfort is definitely somewhat better than neoprene.

"Bad Points.
1. They remain a bit "floppy" when removing and replacing your hands.
2. The drawstrings need to be trimmed and finished once you know the maximum range of closure required on your bike. They are longer than any conceivable need, so a minor PITA.

On balance, unless it was super cold or there was a chance of being in significant wet weather (again, probably to hot to use above freezing) my choice will be the Mogies.
