Boulder County announces temporary bicycle restrictions on James Canyon Drive from Lefthand Canyon Drive to Jamestown beginning July 13

The Boulder County Transportation Department announces a temporary closure of James Canyon Drive between Lefthand Canyon Drive and Jamestown to bicycles during weekday business hours as part of the Overlay Project in July. Due to the nature of the work, the overlay construction will be dangerous to bicycles using the road, causing a safety hazard to bicyclists. James Canyon Drive will be closed to bicycles during working hours beginning July 13, 2006 and lasting through the end of the overlay portion of the project, which is expected to be July 28, 2006. Provisions will be made to allow bicycle usage on this road outside of working hours (i.e., weekday evenings and during the weekends).
