Like I said, use a crank with a proper chainline, which no current mtb crank has, or use a FD designed for the crankset.

not true. cannondale hollowgram SL cranks come in a variety of spindle and spiders combos. however, i don't have that kind of scratch... modifications to the road FD are easy.

force FD = 102g; $60
x.0 2x10 FD = 130g; $82

no brainer...

no brainer...
Not sure where your getting your prices...Universal Cycles is only a $8 difference between the two and the XO doesn't require any mods and works top (which more than 50% of mountain bikes use) and bottom pull.

Yea right...no brainer :rolleyes:

i don't know where you're getting YOUR prices from but i just checked universal cycles and the force FD is $70 and x.0 FS is $82. my prices are from pricepoint. again, if you read my previous post, i'm running a bottom-pull
