I'm throwing together a Salsa Casserole to use as a commuter/light touring/run around town kinda bike, and I decided I wanna run a flat bar on it. This is a road frame, and uses long reach road calipers. Can I use MTB levers with these brakes? Long or short travel? I'm leaning towards some red ano Paul Love Levers.

You can use mtb leavers, but make sure you get some that have the same leverage as old Canti's, otherwise the leavers will feel hard, and not soft and spungy like road leavers do. The Love leavers are for V-brakes only, but they make 2 other leavers that will work, The Cantleaver, and the E Leaver. The Cantlever will work with MTB bars, but I am not sure of the clamp size of the E-leavers. Check out Pauls website, and you can confirm what I have written.

Good luck,
Rob
