Wanted to pass along an update for the Rivers Edge MTB Marathon. Great news! We have landed a wonderful title sponsor for the event. As opposed to Red Hook, Widmer Brothers BEER will be title sponsoring the event. They will be providing beer after the event.

We will have a big neutral support area loaded with food and full mechanic support. After the event, we will have a pasta dinner provided by the Rivers Edge Restaurant, the restaurant located at the USNWC.

The event will be held at the US National Whitewater Center. Not only is the USNWC an awesome place to mountain bike, it's a great place to bring the whole family. There is lots to do at the Park including, whitewater rafting, climbing(one of the largest outdoor climbing facilities in the U.S.), high ropes, and hopefully they will have their new four person zip line open by the time of the event. There is $5 parking fee at the park. For more info on the park visit http://www.usnwc.org

Hope to see you all on the 7th.

Cheers

It looks as though Hannah is going to stay pretty far east of Charlotte and the forecasters are predicting very little rain/wind for us here. The rain is predicted for late Friday and early Saturday, so we should be in good shape for Sunday. I received many emails, calls and people saying they were waiting on the weather, well I feel pretty good the weather is going to hold out for us and be nice come Sunday. Please preregister if you plan to attend, it really helps us prepare the proper amounts of food for everyone. We don't want anyone walking away hungry.

Rider Pits
There will be a large area along the channel for rider pits. We will also have a big neutral support area with fruit, PB & J's, Clif Bars, crackers, water, Clif Shot drink mix and much more. We will also have neutral mechanical support as well.

American Classich has provide two sets of mountain bike wheels to raffle at the Rivers Edge MTB Race. All registrants will be eligible to win the wheels. You can't beat that....FREE beer/food and a chance to win some sweet mtb wheels, all for punishing yourself on the singletrack.

Info and registration is posted on www.charlottemtnbike.com

Hope to see you guys and gals at the US National Whitewater Center.

Yes, we will have packet pickup on Saturday evening from 4:30PM to 6:30PM near the Rivers Edge Restaurant on the US National Whitewater Center.

Yes, you will be able to place a tent as long as it secured in some manner. The last thing we want to do is show up Sunday morning and have to fish somebody's tent out of the whitewater channel.
