Just wanted to ask if this is the right Headset for a 2009 RIP 9?

I think the 2009 RIP comes with the FSA or Cane Creek headsets, FSA comes to mind. I don't believe the CK headset is an option? Maybe someone from Niner will comment?

when you say 09 do you mean the old style with non tapered headtube?

I believe that the RIP uses an integrated headset. The King HS is an Inset. The difference is that the HS cup on an integrated HS-equipped frame is machined directly into the head tube and the bearings simply drop into the cup. The Inset headset is like a traditional HS with a cup that must be pressed into the frame. It's just that the HT is larger and the cup is pressed inside the HT.

When I mean 09, I meant the tapered oversized headtube.
