my 2019 Diverge only has clearance in the back for a 40mm tire and it's tight, really tight. I'm thinking a 650 carbon rim will allow for a larger tire and I see that there is a video online where a guy does put on 650 wheels. OK, cool. What inner rim width would be suitable if I built up something custom for the rear? I certainly want bigger than the current 21mm rim that is on there now but I don't want to over-expose the sidewalls.
