I know.. crazy question. BUT, is anyone currently running a rigid fork on a Dos or any other softtail? Have you run one before and changed it back to suspension for some reason?

Thanks for your help!

I used a rigid fork on my KM w/ thudbuster, and also a rigid fork on my Mooto-X YBB. I don't see a problem with it. I don't have a rigid on my Mooto right now because I put the rigid fork on my Rig...so the squishy had to go back to the Mooto....but I'm looking for a rigid for the Mooto.

Rigid on Moots YBB...

I used a rigid steel fork on a Moots YBB (26" wheel) and it worked very well. Nothing strange about the rear shock action and it's what convinced me to go "rigid" on a 29er. For what it's worth, my feeling is that a 29er hardtail is roughly equivalent (in terms of smoothness) to a softail 26er.
