Rigid fork help

First off I want to put a rigid for on a klein attitude. I only want to do this once so please any advice would be helpful.

I plan on using it as a commuter/cruiser.

Should i use a straight rigid fork? Cyclocross fork? How long of a fork should I use?

Thanks.

What vintage (year) is your Attitude?

You'll want suspension adjusted for an 80mm fork with sag so somewhere around 425-430mm axle to crown.

Are looking for light (like carbon fiber) or more forgiving or cheap?
I've looked at both,Kona P2 and Reynolds ouzo pro cyclocross. I do not want to be cheap,if I can get a deal on cf I would do so gladly.
This is a pretty good deal for a CF

If you want to spend less, the Salsa CroMoto forks are pretty nice for the price.
Thank you mtn. your info was very helpful.
Would the Reynolds cyclocross fork work on this bike?

Several issues
-Axle to crown is only 395mm
-Limited to narrow tires
-Brake mounts for 700c rims
-No disc mount
-45mm rake
ExoticCarbon on ebay for $184 for 42.5. I just purchased one to go on my '96 klein Pulse II using v-brakes
I saw those, let me know how the quality is and how good of a seller they are. Thanks!
First impression of fork and company are good. Purchased fork Monday nite and it was waiting at my door Thursday when I got home from work. Free shipping. Fork looks really good. Looks well built and went together easily. Weighed 920gm uncut. Did not weigh it after I cut off excess. Will weigh what was cut off and measure length of steerer tube left. Looks really sharp on my gloss black Klein. Got a short ride in, no mtb'ing and it feels pretty good. Positioning does not feel like it dropped very much from the 100mm Fox I had on before. Will post pictures Sunday nite.
Geat! Thanks for the update,I'll probably pull the trigger on it myself.

I Would Like To Go To A Carbon Rigid Fork On My Mountain Cycle Zen I Only Ride On Paved Trails What Size Fork Do I Need To Have The Same Geometry Thanks
Took mine out for its maiden voyage this afternoon. It absorbs the road fairly well,it got a little squirrely when I only had one hand on the bars at a decent speed.

I put on some lightweight tires to smoothen out the ride,no knobbys needed for this cruiser.

Altogether it road really well and I'm very happy with the outcome. I will put on some new grips, ergo bars and a tighter cassette to make the bike complete.

Here is the fork I purchase except it had v brake mounts.
