I'll be spending New Years weekend in Roaring Gap. Tradition has been to pedal my bike on New Years Day, so I am looking for a spot to ride.

Any suggestions on riding up there? Thanks,

Come back south into Wilksboro and ride the Dark Mtn. Trails at Kerr Scott Dam. Then go back across the dam and ride the out and back by the visiters center. Here's a link for the Brushy Mtn. Cyclists. Should be all the info you need. Have fun. You will NOT be disappointed! And if you want to do some hiking, check out Stone Mtn. State Park. Just come back south on Hwy 21 and turn right on Traphill Rd. Follow the signs to the park. No bike trails but what an awesome veiw from the top of Stone Mtn.
