Hope to go up there this week.....see that different trails open on different days....but are they bidirectional or do you ride them CW or CCW to get max effect ? Any help appreciated before I delve into Parham's book again. Tom

You can ride the trails in either direction. I prefer to go in the suggested direction (CCW for Thompson, CW for Mouse, CW for Left and CCW for Right...IIRC) except for when riding Right Loop. I ride Left and Right loops as one big CW loop.

My GF and I are headed up in September (Labor Day weekend) for 4 days. After hearing stories of the fun in Pisgah (mine and many others), she doesn't wnat to have anything to do with it! Oh well, I guess Tsali will have to do...:)

There's a "recommended direction" for them. I was camping up there last weekend with some buddies and rode them all. You can definitely get going the other way when doing Left-Right in combination. I also bumped into people riding the other way every once in a while. Just keep in mind that if you hammer you can really get some speed up - you don't want to plow someone head on!

Have a good time, it is what you make it!
