Riding Poli Poli tomorrow 12/7. Any one else?

Hey all, I am planning to ride Poli Poli tomorrow and was wondering if anyone else is interested in joining (rain or shine). Leaving Paia after breakfast with a big pickup truck and heading up. Never ridden Poli before, but Mamane and Waikoa sound good.

I'm visiting from Marin County CA where I ride alot. I have not lived on Maui since high school, but visit fairly often to to see friends and family. None of them do any serious riding though, except my wife who is not on this trip.

Can't go a whole week without a ride though, so I will be renting a bike today in preparation. Open to any route tips & suggestions.

Thanks!

yes but not until later in the day.

If you ride the road up or the trail up and then come down Mamane it's only an hour ride. From the bottom the trail is called Waiahouli, it changes to mamane half way.
Half way down Mamane you can take a right up Waiakoa for some more up (steep), only about 1.5 miles of trail, but it helps extend the ride.
The lower Waiakoa loop is good also, but again only about an hours worth, and it's seperated from the upper trails by some paved road.

Got up there around 7:30 this morning and had a great time on Waiakoa and Mamane. Enjoy your ride tonight!
