I have been back on my bike for almost a year now after 15 years off the bike. I have 120/120 Intense 951 XC and just bought a Ripmo AF. I ride 3 times a week when trails are dry, from Centennial COne to Buff Creek to White Ranch (Longhorn), Apex, Mt Falcon, rode Hard money on 120/120 and cant wait to try my Ripmo AF there.

Also want to try Floyd Hill, ride Walker Ranch again after 20 years away. Hall Ranch and Cub Creek are on my list this year as well.

I like riding alone but sometimes miss the group rides, I know no one here that I can ride with. I would like to meet some people and see if we do some riding together.

I like to climb and suffer but need to lose 15 lbs or so to be better at it, I can hold my own on downs, wont win any enduro races though.

I am 50 yrs old and live near Golden and have a flexible schedule most weeks, I am a contractor so one week ish a month I have little to no time then other weeks wide open.

Too bad we're not in the same geographic area. I'm in the same boat generally. It's tough to find compatible riders with compatible schedules. Best of luck to you. Sometimes local shops have group rides where you might meet potential riding buddies.

Have you tried meetups? There's one for Jeffco mtb. I was part of it for a few rides but did not find the group particularly friendly, however that's just my impression.
I ride solo a lot as well, in my 50's, PM me if you'd like an occasional riding partner.
I thought meetup took a hiatus during covid?

I'm further west up in Evergreen (Floyd Hill actually) but I'm game for casual rides. The trail bike is put away for the time being but the fatty is getting use if you have one of those as well. I know a similar guy in Golden that I could probably link you up with - sounds like you guys are of similar age + riding styles.
I have a buddy and his wife that are staying in Golden right now, living the RV life. She is a traveling nurse and he works remotely. That said they spend most weekends on the slopes in the wintertime. I can't speak to what they ride, but they are in your age bracket.
Kevin,
I’m in a furious rush to get in shape for a Kokopelli trail ride in May. Trails are messy currently, but I’m DTR at least on Friday evenings and Saturdays. Specifically, I need work on hills. Brand new 2016 (!) Specialized Carbon FSR.

If y'all get up north to the Ft Collins / Loveland area to ride, give a shout out and I may be able to join you. Also, if you are on FB the Mile High Mountain Bike group seems to organize quite a few rides in season.

Thanks for the replies, I am currently off the bike due to our cold azz weather and sloppy trails. I will definetly reach out once trails are in better shape. I am heading to Arizona end of next month for a week or two to get some riding in.

Looking forward to meeting up, and would really like to get to Ft Collins as I have never ridden there!
