Hi,
Just moved to the city.
My bike will follow this / next week.

Any locals here want to show me around??
I do AM/XC, but not ashamed to walk when there's a need, so I can try almost anything...

Ran.

We don't ride Pittsburgh, but if you make your way up to the hills of Westmoreland/Somerset/Fayette Counties, we have a group of ski instructors that ride Laurel Mountain, Seven Springs, Roaring Run and Quebec Run regularly.

After work ~6PM a night or two a week at Seven Springs for short 3-4 mile rides with lots of AM technical playing or our larger 10-15+ mile rides on Sunday mornings at 8:30.

A few of our group are really into XC racing and love to ride stupid fast and climb, climb, climb...the core of our group lives for having fun on the rocks and AM type stuff and only climbs as a necessary evil. The speed range is all over the board and since we at times have 10-12 riders, frequent stops are the norm. We have everything from beginners to ex pro level racers riding with us.

Welcome

The riding around here has been getting better and better IMO, so you picked a good time to move here. Check out www.pittsburghmountainbiking.com. Also, the local shops have lots of group rides. The Trek store in Robinson has tuesday and sunday group rides at Bavington. I live in the Bavington area. PM me for some Beta if you like...

Venture Outdoors is a good organization and a great way to meet some other like minded people once here. Feel free to ping me and I will help you get hooked up...

Pitts

Best thing about Pittsburgh is that there are at least 10 Technical trails with in 30 min of eachother:eekster: which is hard to find. I have some listed on my trail reviews. With some pics. Also check out the Month Of Mud race series and there are some great adventure races in OhioPyle $$.

 BAVINGTON is awesome, I ride there a lot since I live close.
