Ride Suggestions for 1/2 Day Trips?

Hi,

Looking for suggestions for ride over the 4th of July weekend. can ride during the day, but need to be back in Superior by 5ish each day. I am based out of there. I have Friday to Tuesday to get rides in.

Want to ride Hiel to Hall on Picture Rock, and Sourdough Trail up in the mountains behind Ward. Was thinking of trying to get to Winter Park for a day.

Would some of the stuff down in Jeffco be good?

Thanks!

(Went to school at CU in the late 90's and rode the trails BCOSP trails then, but never really got out of Boulder.)

Too hot. Head to Summit County.
West Magnolia, Bus and the Spot (or is it Dot?) trails just south of Nederland are fun. If I was driving down from Superior for a half-day, I'd probably hit Golden Gate Canyon S.P. and stay away from the JeffCo parks over the holiday weekend (and yes, cooler temps than the lower JeffCo parks).

Will JeffCo be too busy? Actually did West Mag, last year, and got supper lost.... :-(

I could get back later. I can start any time in the morning. Gotta beat the afternoon showers anyway. :)

Thanks!

But the forecast calls for 70's. I'm coming from 90's and near 100% humidity, it will be down right frigid for me. :p

Have fun at the JeffCo parks, then.

Or did you mean to hot to handle with the amount of traffic the parks will get. Reading some of the other threads, there seem like there can be a lot conflict. :-(

What trails would you suggest in Summit County?

Thanks!

They're all good. You can't go wrong. Just pick one that fits your mileage requirement and GO!
