Ride suggestions around Grand Bend, ON

I'm taking a family vacation at Pinery Provincial Park, and will be in the area for a week. I have done a quick search for rides in this area, but haven't found to much. I know that the park has a bike path, and that will work fine for family time, but I will also be able to get out and PLAY on my own. Anyone up for a ride next week July 2-7 contact me. I have both a mountain and a road bike, which one should I bring. I would like to bring both if I could use them both.

Any suggestions for mountain or road would be a great help.

Other than the bike path that goes from the pinery into the "bend" there isn't anything that I know of. My g/f and I were down the road at Port Franks this past weekend and all we found were some very loose sandy trails but it was only a ten minute ride anyways.
second that..

...been to Pineries many times. Take the road bike! There is nothing worth bringing your mountain bike for ... unless you like deer trails! (which i do)
I live across the highway from the park. There is a decent trail (not marked, or on the Parks map the runs from near the Port Franks bridge on hwy 21 almost to Grand Bend. Also just on Port Franks Rode the are some marked trails on your left as you enter Port Franks.
Hey *******: I'm in The Bend. Does this trail near the Port Franks bridge still exist?
Thanks.
Its still there.
Try the trails behind the Port Franks Optimist Hall.
There is a map by the tennis court when you pull in the parking lot.

Does the map at the Hall show the trails to almost Grand Bend, like you mentioned in an earlier post? or just for Port Franks?
The map in Port Franks is only for the trails there. If you can find a copy of the Pinerys cross country ski trail that will show you the other trail
the last time I road up in Grey-Bruce area I lost about 200 ml of blood to the mosquitos.
I flatted and instantly became the skeeter buffet. It wouldn't hurt to be packing deet in them there hills.
