I will be doing the 6 Hours in Frog Hollow Saturday, but plan to stay and get a few more rides in Sunday and Monday; maybe Tuesday.

Friends are telling me I need to do Gooseberry Mesa, so I figure I will give that a try, but any other rides I should look at in that area? If i have the energy, I would like to get get in 2 rides each day and I really want to get a night ride in while down there.

An alternative is that I will do a morning ride in Hurricane on Monday then drive to Salt Lake ( I live in Boise ) and find a place to camp. Then do some sort of great ride in that area Monday evening or Tuesday morning. Any thoughts on a great ride that someone with tired legs should do?

Cheers!

Mike

Wherewolf's ride is a good one. check utahmountainbiking.com for more.

Salt Lake has great riding for sure, but the best is still under snow. Camping options this time of year would be pretty limited also. I'd stay in St George. If you really are set on SLC, check out Corner Canyon. But if at all possible, try to hit that Tuesday a.m. vs Monday p.m. as it's pretty swamped with after work riders, particularly this time of year.

There is plenty down in Hurricane.....Gooseberry Mesa, Little Creek Mesa, JEM Trail or string the JEM together with Hurricane Rim and Goulds for a 23 mile XC type loop, Guacamole (baby Gooseberry), Grafton Mesa & Flying Monkey (expert level stuff from what I hear).

Over in St George and Santa Clara are a ton more....Zen, Barrel Roll, Bearclaw Poppy and Church Rocks are my favorites. Icehouse is my least favorite ride EVER.
