Hi SoCal gang,

NorCal rider who is passionate about Rwanda and just found out about the 50-Mile Ride for Rwanda...unfortunately too late to make it down there for this year's ride. Will plan to ride next year, but curious about the ride itself...is the course good/fun?

Thanks!

I have done it a few times and this year GGR has a booth and team going. You can ride it with a HT. Big climbs, beautiful scenery. It's about 6500 feet of climbing in 50 miles. Huge event, should be over 1000 riders this year. Great cause and incredible raffles too! They also offer a 10 and 25 mile options now.

Our local trails advocacy group hosted a viewing of "Rising from Ashes" last night for their 25th anniversary. Pretty cool flic, also cool to spend the evening with a group of diverse but like minded (related to cycling) individuals. Following the movie they had snacks/beers/music and a drawing for prizes. No new pump for me. Highly reccomend you watch this film if you love cycling.
