Maybe I'm retarded, but I've looked around the Portland trail reviews and such and haven't found much regarding Downtown, I mean the main organ of Portland. I found some trails about the Oaks Park loop, Forest Park, etc, but nothing about Downtown. Why hasn't anyone turned Portland into one big ass tech/ track? Some of the best rides I ever had were when I was going to school in Portland and couldn't sleep, I'd take my bike and bomb around Downtown. No pedestrians, fewer cops, and the bumbs don't care cause they're alseep dreaming of nickles and dimes falling into paper cups. You come up to a set of stairs you walked down earlier, and all of a sudden you're hurt with your bike on top of you. The drop you took the stairs around has now turned into a drop to jump off. You'd be suprised at how fast the intended use of a structure can go from boring, to "I'm gonna try it." Not only does riding Downtown at night mean good times, it looks mucho rad too. I still make trips down there as often as possible. Wanna ride?, send me some nerd mail. [email protected]
