OK so my idea is to ride all the trails in Richmond both directions and go as long as possible on a fresh route so this would include:

Clockwise: Buttermilk - Forest Hill - Finish Buttermilk, Dogwood Dell - NorthBank then ride it Counterclockwise.

After that ride the upper hill trails on Belle Isle, the recently worked on lost trail, and a good chunk of the stuff at dogwood dell.

Has anyone done this? The goal, again, is to ride as much fresh trail as possible getting as much distance while never repeating a section. I'm guessing one could maybe go 29 miles or so.

If you have a GPS track of this let me know.

I see you are not getting any response on this subject. Sorry I don't do much riding in Richmond besides Poco SP. I'd recommend checking out the forums at CCVA - a website primarily focused on the Richmond MTB scene. Here's the addy: http://www.cyclingcentralva.org/forums/. I've read posts on that site about guys linking up trails around the town into one big ride. Good luck!

Typically I just ride the loop counterclockwise, and just hit the lost trail on belle isle, but since the weather has been nicer I have done some exploring, and realized just how much distance you can cover on different trails.

What exactly is Dogwood Dell? I just found the trails that go parallel to the river on the southside but closer to the river than buttermilk. They are very narrow, and look a lot less ridden, and despite being pretty flat they are kinda fun.

I have heard of people riding to Powhite from the JRPS but I don't know how that exactly works. Sounds like something you would be interested in doing though.
