According to the team at Revel Bikes, while they love the Rascal, the company's short-travel 29er trail bike, they wanted something a bit lighter and faster. To that end, the Ranger was designed for riders who enjoy the ups as well as the downs. Revel claims the Ranger's carbon frame is a pound lighter than the Rascal and is equally suited to cross-country racing and general trail riding.

The Ranger is loaded with smart frame features. The frame has full tube-in-tube routing to make brake and shift line installation quick and easy. A threaded bottom bracket is another feature riders and mechanics are sure to appreciate. The downtube has mounts inside the frame and underneath for a pair of water bottles. Revel also included a third set of bosses on the downtube near the head tube junction to let rider carry essential repair items within easy reach.
