Check with Troy at Over the Edge Sports in Fruita (www.otesports.com), he will hook you up. Tell him the "weather-guy" sent you.crux said:I have seen a few retro frames here recently. Question is who builds custom retro Ti frames?

That is pimp, for sure. However, isn't it the case that they are out of business and don't respond to calls/emails, and you can't buy one of thier frames even if you want to?PeT said:
John at OxBrand has been dealing with a loss in the family, so he may not be very accessable at the moment. However, Ox isn't closing, in fact, he is going to have Carl Strong doing all his welding going forward using only US material also. I think his pricing will be similar to Carls.ncj01 said:That is pimp, for sure. I'd like to see complete bike pictures, and get a ride report from your buddy. I think those internal cables look (or don't look) pretty cool. Did Spicer build him the bike, or did they farm it out to China ?bdiddy said:First off I apologize for the 26 er content. I would give spicer consideration. My friend just had a custom bike built with twin curved top tubes and internal cable routing. He hasn't had a chance to ride it yet so I don't have a ride report. The bike looks great and he said spicer worked with him to bring his idea and geometery to life.
I haven't used thumbies since 1994. I had been using gripshift for a number of years and really like it. However, with the HBars, I was forced to look at the Shimano integrated stuff or the thumbies. While I haven't raced with thumbies, I can say that I don't at all miss gripshift. I also really like the simplicity and light weight. Another major benefit is that changing out cables is incredibly simple. No winding up a cable in some housing. It just slides right through the thumbshifter.green mt. boy said:I would really like to run a set on my moustache bar. How do you like them?
