Shops I have worked at keep some display parts in the glass case and the rest back in service. Clear plastic bins on gorilla racks works fairly well. Small parts, screws, nuts, barrel adjusters, etc go into a hanging multi-drawer cabinet/organizer. Cable and housing kits, brake pads, caliper adapters, etc hung on peg board behind the counter and in service.
