I wanna remove a lot of the decorative stickers on my rims, shock, and fork, because I don't really like how they look and don't wanna be advertising all the time. There's also a big chance that I sell my bike (2018, highish end) in the next 6 months. Will taking off these stickers significantly affect the resale value of the bike? I'll keep on all the informational stickers, and I also don't think saving the stickers to put back on would work. Thanks.

IMO, stock stickers is better for resale, but hard to put a number on it...or you might find a buyer who loves it stickerless. Stickers on, the buyer can always choose to remove them if so desired. If it were mine and I wanted the stickers off, I do it and not worry about the theoretical effect on resale value.

You should expect 40%'ish depreciation selling your stickerless bike in 6 months. This is based on no new tariffs that Americans will have to absorb.

It always looks like someone trying to disguise a low end bike to me.

But bike resale is so incredibly bad as is. Peeling off decals would seem to guarantee the lowest value in resale.

I think as long as the OP can prove what brand the bike is w/out stickers, it won't make much of a difference. I've seen plenty of plain bikes for sale

Just put some new stickers on when you sell the bike. You could even get colormatched ones, that might even increase resale value with 0,001%

Or just have a good run of photos of bike as new or with factory decals to sorta prove it's heritage if you had to.
I'm not sure of value diff but I wouldn't chance it personally.
There are more potential buyers in the group when it comes time to sell if keeping it original IMO. More buyer options = better value or easier faster sell. That itself is worth something to me.
