I got a 2001 Atom Race Z.2 from a friend, but he didn't have the instructions to go with it. I want to replace the stock springs with heavy duty ones. Does anybody know how to access the internals? Is it through the screw on the bottom or the hex nut on top under the preload knob? Will they be in oil and will I have to replace the oil? Thanks for any help.

Nope: pop your top caps along with preload adjusters and you either will see the spring right away, or there might be a washer, black plastic spacer and another washer with spring going after. No oil change needed, but it never hurts.
