Repair stand recommendation needed

1281 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Niftythang
I am looking for a repair stand (hence the title :p ). The requirements are pretty standard, with one exception - I'd like it to be able to hold a medium to large 29er upright with the wheels firmly planted on the ground. It seems most can come close, but I'm looking for the one that can make it all the way to the ground. TIA.

Why do you need a stand for that?

Also, why do you need the wheels to sit on the ground?

It's mostly a preference thing. It would make some things easier, especially given the constraints of my particular environment.Do you know of one that will work?
My Spin Doctor stand is about 41.5" from the floor to it's lowest position center of the clamp. Not quite low enough but my 29er front wheel hits the ground with the nose of the bike angled down on the stand. All in all, I really like the stand. Feedback sports makes a very nice stand as well - https://www.feedbacksports.com/products/repair.aspx
