Hi - I'll be Palm Springs Mid March and am looking to do a single ride of 3-4 hours on medium to advanced single track in the area. I'll need to rent 2 FS XC mtbs from a local store as well. Any advice apprereciated. Thanks.

I don't have any rental info, but it is definitely worth bringing your bike. Some great desert riding.

Bring lots of water, at least two spare tubes, and let someone know of your intended route. Those trails are fairly desolate and you don't want to get into trouble out there. Have fun!

I'm a PS local and know the trails inside and out. The geoladders ride posted above is definitely one of the best rides you can do without a shuttle. Bring water and a couple tubes, if not tubeless, no shade anywhere. Up Dunn Road, to Hahn Buena Vista, to Wildhorse, out the Goat Trails. Here's a video from a very similar ride. I usually like to hit more of the Goats after descending Wildhorse.
