I have a Fox 100 RLC fork...in trying to remove the seal on the leg to put some oil under the seal, I can't do it cleanly. You are supposed to slip a fine blade under the seal and pry it up. In doing so, I am chipping the paint and putting a groove in the metal of the lip of the leg. How is this "really" done?

hope this is helpful... http://www.enduroforkseals.com/id28.html
I use a piece of a bike tube wrapped around my screwdriver so that I don't do that on my Marzocchi. electrical tape, duct tape, similar stuff would work fine as well... I've also used an old screwdriver where I filed down the sharp edges so as to not scratch the lowers while prying up the seal.
