I have a front wheel built with a DT Swiss FIFTEEN hub. I bought a 15mm to 9mm TA conversion kit for it for my Salsa Vaya. I popped the drive side end cap off no poblem but I cannot for the life of me get the non-drive side end cap off. I'm starting to think I need to remove the disc brake rotor first. Is this correct? Unfortunately I don't have the tool to remove the rotor and I've scratched the rotor lock ring and end cap a little trying to use pliers (I know it was stupid).

Any advice is much appreciated!

So I emailed DT Swiss and they said I do indeed have to remove the rotor before the cap on that side will come off.
