Back this summer there was a video of a cop completely decking a cyclist in NY City.

Here's the latest update:

Wow! I hadn't seen that. I watched the video first. After seeing it I thought that the cyclist must have done something and the cop just overreacted. But, reading the article, the cop claims that the cyclist ran straight into him! Apparently he may be charged with misdemeanor assault! What?! People are charged with misdemeanor assault for spitting on someone. They need to get him on a felony.

Right, the prosecution is pushing for a felony charge of 'filing false records' and the article states that there *may* be a charge of *misdemeanor* assault. I think he deserves the false records and a felony assault.
