Release Dates

When does RM normally release their new models? I have done a bit of on-line research on the Altitude 29, and it seems like it could be a winner. Several reviews can be found on it, but no hints on release dates. I tried contacting my "local" bike shops that are authorized dealers, but #1 they aren't very local and #2 they had no idea.

Any hints from the RM crowd?

Thanks,
MD

It mostly depends on possible production schedules. They were shooting for December/January on some of the 2009's, but some models took until the past month to have available.
We are shooting for a avaiability date of before Dec/Jan if all goes well. But many of factors have to fall into place to make it happen, its looking good so far. Keep your fingers crossed.... Its a sweet riding bike! I have one of the protos at my house right now.
guess that's the right place to ask if you know something about the updates the SXC will get in 2010? :) or if you have one of the protos at your house right now :D

Nice try :p , to my knowledge, the Slayer SXC will not have a new model for 2010 at this time. Why would we need too, its rides awesome!
Will there be any updates to the flatline series of DH bikes and if so any idea on when they will be available

Can't commit on that at this time.... I fear the wrath of marketing! I know alot of you have seen the Flatline prototypes killing it on the WC circuit already, so I'll leave it at that. Sabrina, 3 wins in a row! Trust me, I wish we could share more, but then that takes away all the surprises!

None of us involved Rocky on this board are going to release info on new bikes unless its the right time to do so, we have to play the game with the rest of them...... But just be excited for the future, there are some really cool things coming down the pipe. Never a better time to be a Rocky fanboy.
I smell a full steel road bike next year. Something like a Surly Pacer.

I've read that in the eyes of our rep.
Thanks for the info. Been doing the mountain bike thing since '88, but I just purchased my first 29er this spring (C-Dale Caffeine 29er).

Would like to purchase a full suspension 29er this fall. RM timing on the Altitude might be perfect. Just have to find a dealer with one in stock in the SE.

A full steel road bike would cats a$$. Anyone with a road bike knows carbon is awesome but "steel is real".

FS 29er. I'd give that a try.

Man i would love to see a steel road bike come back into the lineup! The last one we made (besdies the Sherpa line) was the Solo 50st with triple-butted Columbus "Spirit" Niobium steel tubing. Combined with the carbon fork and Seattube that bike was a sweet ride. I'd be first in line if we did this type of bikes again. Sadly the sales # for that type of bike just do not add up to justify it at the moment....... Hopefully for the future!
