I got one...so far ( 2 weeks and 4 rides) no problems.

I bought a factory refurbished 705 last October from eBay. I was able to register it online with Garmin immediately without any problems. After some very heavy usage during an international trip, it died completely about two weeks ago. I was able to mail it to Garmin UK and was sent a replacement unit immediately and am back up and running. The factory refurb units still carry a 1 year warranty, so I think it's a great deal.

Got one off Ebay about a month ago and it appears to be "brand new". Works great and has a one year warranty. Very happy with it. :thumbsup:

Had one issue (not with the unit but mounts) and they were on it and no fuss. The Garmin forums, I am active on there a lot helping people with new ones, are full of good experiences and very few not.

FYI, I think there will be a number of refurb 705's hitting the market again once they start fixing the "bricked firmware 3.2" ones that are getting returned (like mine).

so far, my dealings with CS about this issue have been good.
