Im thinking of changing out the ridged aluminum forks on my mono cog to maybe a suspension fork?? Im pretty sure its 1 1/8. I don't need a lot of travel just want some. Any thoughts out there one what forks to look for and has anyone on here done this ?

Any 100mm fork will work with a straight 1 1/8" steerer tube.

Which on is best? Depends on how much you wanna spend.

Personally I ran a Reba on my Monocog when I had it.

Thanks, so 100mm would be close to 4 inches of travel. That seems like it would work, I'm not looking to spend a lot of money so I may watch the bay and see whats out there.

You may have better luck in pinkbike classifieds than ebay... I did, picked up a reba for cheap

What year is you MCF? My 2011 had a 47mm offset steel fork. On the medium frame with a 38mm offset REBA I had major toe overlap issues. I ended up putting a Fox F29 on it with the Gary Fisher G2 geometry (51mm offset) and it works great like that.

pretty sure that is an aluminum frame and a steel fork but i could be wrong... haven't had a moncog since my 26er days (great bike).
